I'm enjoying my new 24" monitor BenQ FP241WZ, and a lot of wargames and
strategy games really benefit from the extra estate. However, launching
Dominions 3 I see support for my native resolution (1920x1200) in the
options panel, but it is greyed out, as are higher resolutions (the maximum
allowed is 1680x1050, which means interpolation and stretching on an LCD
monitor).

Any ways to enable higher resolutions? I have a GeForce 7800GTX with the
latest drivers (installed a couple of days ago) and 2GB RAM.

I think there was something on the Dom3 forums about that
www.ShrapnelGames.com

Something about that screen size working when you use the command line
paramaters to ask for it

Found it. Apparently there is a bug that greys out some resolutions even if
they are allowed, so to get them you must start the game *once* from a dos
window with the command line Dom3.exe -r (width) (height). After this your
resolution of choice is memorized.

I did that: started the game from a dos window with the command "Dom3.exe
1920 1200" (without quotes) and now it is fixed at my monitor resolution
without needing the procedure again every time.

On a 24" at 1920x1200 it is a beauty to behold Surprised)
