"It's a bomb!" means "It is great!" in Italian, too. And a "flop" is a
"flop" over here, too - and now I really dunno if we actually imported the
word or were the one who exported it Surprised)

America now goes both ways. If something "bombed" it's a total failure
- but if it "is da bomb" then it's a fabulous, raving success.
