Time for a littel disquisition Smile

Shouldn't be not possible that an arcane spellcaster can dispel a divine
magic and viceversa? If a spellcaster can cast only spells from his/her
spell list, how can he/her delete/counter effects from spells that are even
not from the same weave/type??

That's up to the DM. The standard ruleset assumes that all forms of magic
utilise essentially the same energies - it's just that different types of
caster access those energies in different ways, which creates differences in
their spellcasting capabilities. Dispel Magic is simply a means of
disrupting those energies.

Hm...

Is this actually explicit in the rules anywhere?
It is, IMHO, *implicit* via, e.g., the large overlap
in spells and spell-mechanics, including "Dispel..."

But I hadn't ever noticed it being made *explicit*.

I would actually prefer to go the other way, and say they are all the
same, and eliminate the divine/arcane differences. For instance
scrolls with say like bull's strength. It's the same spell, so why
can't an arcanist cast it from the scroll if it's a divine scroll?
