Anyone else had this problem? I just picked up this little gem
recently (always wanted to see where Disciples II came from), and when
I installed it I got multiple "this program was written for Win95/
Win98/NT4" warnings. The install completed fine, and the game runs
fine, but the movies don't play. They're there on the CD, and I can
play them manually with RADTools (smackply.exe - they're SMK files),
so I know they're fine, but they won't play in the game.
I'm assuming this has something to do with XP, but I can't find a
forum post or bug report anywhere. Does anyone have any knowledge or
experience of this?
I've got the Gold Edition, which I think is already patched to 1.1 (at
least, I tried to install the only patch I could find, and it couldn't
install). Are there any other patches I should be using?
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the tip, but yes - no change, unless I tick 256 colours and
640x480 res, in which case it hangs at a black screen and white egg-
timer startup combo.
Very odd. I seem to be the only person ever to have this problem with
the game. My box is due for a reinstall anyway (well past the 12-month
safe mark for Windoze), so I'll try reinstalling it after that, see if
it works on a fresh Windows install.
