| Does anybody have a use for Dimension Door? The game doesn't seem to allow
you to use the spell as written, e.g., you can't use it to cross ravines or
lagoons, or to go from the outside of a castle to the roof (or vice versa).
So is it worthwhile?

It can be handy for melee at high levels when you want to create some space,
particularly for small parties or solo. I think there are a couple of areas
(eg mazes) where you can see something but not easily reach it. However on
balance no, most of the time its not much use.
