Post subject: Digital Dimension Mission 5 in Sonic Riders

My son and I are having the most difficult time beating this level. The
instructions are to destroy "7 statues in a row in while in sub-space".
We have managed to destroy all 3 groups of 7statues in the alloted
time, however we fail the mission. We're thinking that perhaps
the key is the phrase "while in sub-space," but we're not sure. Does
anyone have any tips on this?
