I picked up a DD yesterday and it os not currently in working
condition. When i power the game up all i get is a low humming noise
from the speaker, i know the monitor is getting power as well.

I have looked on arcadeshop's website and they dont have a Power supply
conversion kit on the site, does anyone know if these kits are readily
available?

Thanks in advance

I have not seen any.. But Bob Roberts has atari power supply rebuild
kits.. I don't know what power supply is in the dig dug because I don't
own one and never looked into it.. Also I am sure you checked the
fuses?

THanks for all the emails thus far, i can add that when i power the
game up it appears that the pcb is not getting power - the LED on the
pcb is not lit while powered up.

I will check the voltages as soon as i figure out which box i packed my
meter in

Thanks again

Check to see if your getting +10.3 from the transformer assy to the ARII.
Let us know what you find!

Check the voltage coming off the AR2.

If that is normal then you have a dead gameboard....

There are no power supply kits for Atari games out AFAIK.

And the AR2 and power brick are pretty reliable if you rebuild them and do
the sense mod.

Yeah.. Order the rebuild kit from Bob Roberts, rebuild the AR2, resolder the
connector pins, and jumper the GND on the AR2 to the GND on the game pcb..
I think the 2 spade connectors are usually 2 different sizes.

I'm surprised nobody has asked what shape the edge connector is in.

I have found Dig Dug's that had burned connectors so bad that no power
got to the board.

I finally got around to checking the power on the dig dug/arII - i get
a 7-8v steady.....

Someone suggested replacing the big blue cap. I am going to place an
order and do just that, hopefully it will help out
