I would just like to let you know, that me and another person have
made a big mod for Commandos 2, called Commandos 2: Destination Paris.
A few of the new features we have added are:
New abilities for the Commandos
The existing enemies, including the new ones, have been made alot more
dangerous than in the past
All the weapons now have limited ammo (no more infinite Pistol,
Harpoon, etc.)
The patrols will not attack you, if your non-threatening
The full list of features and more information can be found at this
address http://www.c3zone.co.uk/index.php?page=c2dp_info
This mod should keep your thirst for Commandos going until Strike
Force comes out. >> Stay informed about: Commandos 2: Destination Paris |

Hello Swordfish,
I might say I am pretty impressed. But a minor-major detail:
"You will not be able to save or load, here is where a true Officer will
show his skills; go check that house for some ammo, or risk a frontal
assault?"
I was trully into this till I saw this... excuse my rudeness but ARE YOU
NUTS?
How can someone enjoy a game like commandos without saving his progress???
Saving and loading was a very major issue since the beginning of the
commandos series.
Too few save slots in BEL and BTCOD, plenty of room in C2. No room at all in
your mod???
The point in the commandos was when you saved too late or loaded too soon,
and then you had to do it all over again. With no save features I'll think
I'll pass, I don't want to go insane... lol
> This mod should keep your thirst for Commandos going until Strike Force
comes out.
Nice mod though... can't wait for its completion to see actual footage.
Good work, guys!!

I'd have to agree with iakovos here... the ability to save and load at any
point during the map / mission is a fundamental part of the Commandos
series. Swordfish: I *strongly* urge you to re-consider and allow normal
save/load ability.
If you want to make things more challenging - make save point areas - like a
house where one can save ( This house would be the only place where saving
would be allowed! )

Agree...anything for a saving/loading feature! It desperately needs
it!
Btw...what is Strike Force?
This mod sounds great, as Iakovos has said. I definitely want to try
it...
