You'd have to do some troubleshooting while the Tivo desktop is
installed. Since you can transfer the shows, you must still have
network connectivity. Are you changing your IP settings in any way when
you set it up to transfer the shows? Check your ipconfig before and
after the install, and then try pinging a known good website, first by
IP number, then by name. Try surfing using different browsers as well.
Does everything connected to the internet not work, or just your
browser? Those type of tests and questions should help pinpoint the
problem.
