Desktop Forum somewhere

I realize there is probably some other place out there to ask this but
since it's FS related and there are so many experts here....

Suddenly I have no moving map. I open it and it shows in the task bar
but I've searched every border around the edges and no joy, it's not
there. I can right click the tab on the bottom bar and minimize and
maximize all day and no screen. I forgot abut it for a while until I
opened the "Sound Recorder" to capture some sounds and now that item is
nowhere to be found on the desktop.

I've even tried different settings and resolutions but can't find them.

I'm hoping someone here says... "Hey... I know that... it's,.."

I just wonder what else I don't see...
