Hi friends,

is it possible in fs9 to declare an in-flight emergency?
And how?

Thanks for answers

Pete

With the program FSPassengers, www.fspassengers.com you can adjust for
the percentage of random emergencies, have the co-pilot yell them out
at you, and hear the passengers scream while you declare the emergency
to ATC. You even get the sound of emergency vehicles after you land
(if you land).

The down side is, it does not work in conjunction with FS9 ATC, so the
ATC doesn't react to your emergency. Hopefully one day, they'll fix
that so they work together.

It's fun anyway and will usually give you the sweats.

Not with the ATC system that comes with FS. With the add-on payware
programme Radar Contact you can declare emergencies as well as getting more
realistic ATC procedures. Smile)

According to a VATSIM insider, one can declare an emergency on VATSIM as
long as it is worked out ahead of time with the controller.

You can do it on Vatpac anytime you like! As long as you handle it in a
realistic manner, there's no problem. I mean, in RL, would you have to give
the boys in the tower a buzz and ask: "I say chaps! Would you mind terribly
if I caught both of my engines on fire just before I turn onto finals?" At
Vatpac, it's all taken as it comes!

No you couldn't. That ATC was one stage worse than FS9!
