Hehehehe...D'OH! I remember posting that back in the summer almost
verbatim. I've been using CSC so much lately for stripping/debonding
metals I totally forgot I even had it. Yes, the builder definitely used
superglue as there's plenty of fuming action Surprised(

Reason number two why I'd rather spend money on the FW models and note
the books....right behind the insane price tag. However, on a related
note, I did pick up IA 2 on eBay for the inquisition/valkyrie stuff,
contact me via e-mail if you want me to send it your way for "binary
codification", wink wink.

Oh Spack, king of gingers, terrible to behold...lend me your knowledge.

First up - what were they glued together with? Since we're
talking resin, I wouldn't imagine that it was done with ordinary model
cement or plastic weld. I'm not sure what to tell you if they were
glued together with epoxy. (Lets hope they weren't done with that.)

If they were done with some form of cynoacrylate (super) glue, and
you're planning to strip these things - then Castrol Super Clean is the
stripper of choice as it tends to break down cynoacrylate glue bonds
while soaking. That being said, your best bet is a debonder
specifically formulated for removing super glue. I've got a product
called Z-7 Debonder that claims 'will not craze most plastics'. If you
don't have access to a local supply (I get mine from a train shop down
the street), or have to drive all over B.F.E. to get it, let me know and
I'll mail you a bottle - priority mail if you need it a.s.a.p.

IIRC they're designed for cutting through bulkheads. If I'm not
mistaken, the lascutter has speical rules for use with the 'interior
fighting' stuff Forgeworld did when they came out with their fancy
modular Imperial Outpost Terrain (about the same time as the Elysian
models came out.) But then, these are the folks who's FAQ for their
Tyranid book directly contradicts the core rules FAQ for the Nids. Go
figure.

I know the Elysians have their own rules as a drop army for IG, but
hopefully Spack will pop in and reply as he's generally in the know on
the I.A. / Forgeworld stuff.

Hope that helps, and let me know if I need to mail you a package
of debonder goodness,

Myr Smile

Who dares wake me from my slumber???

Oh, right, FW query. There are two Elysian lists - the first in IA3 is a
slight modification on a doctrined IG list, but keeping the standard
elements - infantry platoons, command platoons, etc. The other list, the
D-99 Ordo Xenos one, is quite different in that it's based around veteran
squads, so the min 2 Troops will be 2 squads of ten veterans rather than 50
men making up 2 infantry platoons.

Neither list can have elements used in a normal IG army, but there's nothing
stopping you using the Elysian models in the army as say veterans with the
Drop Troop doctrine.

What's the glue? I'd find some cheap resin thing and test it in some NaOH.
It's probably your best bet.
