Yay!

Darkness Rising is released on the 11th.

It's $19.98, or on a deal with Catacombs both for $29.98.

You get some special armour for your mount apparently if you order
before the 10th October.

BB.

Cavalry, from the sound of it: Not just a transport mode but a
four-legged armored vehicle. What I wonder is whether we get anything
else. All I could find was vague words about "champion level" and
"champion weapons", which sounds a lot like "master levels" and
"artifacts" to me. Definitely returning for another attempt at high level
content, can Mythic avoid making another Trials and losing half their
customers again?

As I understand it the champion levels and weapons will be questable,
and not solely high level. The other things is the sub-classing which
apparently lets you train a sub class and gain some abilities in that
class, although they will be far from uber. Melee will be able to
learn some spells etc. Mythic say these will not be hugely powerful
though. I'm sure they must have learnt from ToA and will not make the
same mistake again, hopefully. I'll judge it when it comes but it
sounds interesting. The NDA is still in place so details are scarce.
Mounts will be nice, although not cavalry though as you cannot fight
mounted from what I've read. The first mounts are available at level
35 for 250 gold.

Yes, further study shows that you won't be able to fight from horseback
after all. On the other hand there is to be an option for crafting armor
for them, so I wonder exactly what their uses will be.

I believe that you can be PvE mob attacked whilst mounted, so you
can't just ride unscathed though a camp of grapes, and maybe ranged
RvR attacked as well? But you must dismount to fight back, aye.
