No, in fact I do not think there are DVD versions of the expansion packs.
Only the Sims 2 came out on DVD and then Maxis quit making the DVD. >> Stay informed about: Sims DVD EP's |

Well that settles it then! LOL
I'm doing great, how are you? I'm so busy, but I've managed to get addicted
to the Sims again. I even thought about trying my hand at doing
objects/skins again *gasp*
So here goes the download fest! All I have is the base game, and I'm
shopping for EP's now. Whenever I lurk in here, it's almost like going home
again. I see a lot of new faces and a few oldies.

My technical competence is second only to my chihuahua's but I installed and
have been running OFB off my DVD only drive since I installed it. In fact,
it wouldn't install off my CDR/W drive. I didn't try that with other
installations, but probably will with any reinstalls or new ones. My
computer is an old one, despite upgrades, so some programs just aren't happy
with my less than spunky CD drive. >> Stay informed about: Sims DVD EP's |

I guess I am doing ok.
With all the layoffs at work I am a little stressed out.
Everything is being shipped to China.
I work for a major pluming manufacture.
It is sad that there is nothing made in the USA anymore.
We were the last faucet manufacture in the USA.
Now there in nothing you can by from our brand that is not from China.
What I want to know is why Home Land Security is not investigating such sell
outs.

We have the same problem here in Canada. It is almost impossible to find
products made in Canada or USA; about 70% is made in China, 1 or 2 % is made
in either Canada or the United States, and the balance is made in Korea,
Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and other. Most of the
stuff from China that is dedicated to children is recalled due to small
pieces breaking off and choking kids to death, or high lead content leading
to poisoning our kids. The adult stuff is recalled due to poor workmanship
leading to breakage causing injury or death, or electric problems causing
shock, electrocution, or fires. Yet the Canadian and American
companies/distributors continue to import this garbage.

It's because they can make such large profits on them. Workers are paid
pennies an hour in China. You'll note that the prices didn't drop
enormously as domestic products were replaced with imported ones,
though. The corporations are pocketing those outrageous profits and not
passing them along to the consumer. Nor the stockholders, either, in a
great many cases. SOMEBODY is making money, but it's sure not the
American workers who lose jobs that pay real money in exchange for
service-type jobs that pay 1/3 to 1/2 what they used to make. Can you
say "Do you want fries with that?"
