I recently purchased a two-disk game DT racer and super truck racing.
The first one works ok but not the second one (trucks... I get disk
error). I got it exchanged where I purchased it and still won't read.
I wonder if coincidentally both disks are bad or there's something
else I should look at. All others games play ok. Is there any problem
if there's no enough room in the memory card for this error ?

Thanks

and no the memory card has no way of causing this.. read error's are
problems with the laser.... want to know how to garauntee you wont
have laser troubles? if you have a fat ps2 with the expansion port in
the back you can put an ide hard drive in it(computer hard drive) and
store games on it.... requires network adapter and a modified save file

The disk color is purple. I just heard that some PS2 won't read purple
ones. Is this right ? Could it be upgraded?
Thanks

If your PS2 is having trouble reading the DVD versions of PS2 games, and can
still read the CD versions just fine, its time for a replacement laser.
