Even if you draw an Unmaskening first, you can still play a Fortran
later and pull the other Unmaskening out of your deck and immediately
discard it. Yeah, again, an MPA (but if it is the only master in your
hand, how does it hurt you to play it?), but still, generally much
better then just having 3 of the same event in your deck.

3x Unmaskening means a reasonable chance of seeing an Unmaskening, and
then having 2 cards you need to discard.

2x Unmaskeing and a Fortran Library means the exact same chance of
seeing an Unmaskening, but you also have the ability to swap an MPA for
getting the other two cards (effectively) out of your deck without
having to use discard actions.

fair enough. However, I was coming at it from a wacky zany kind of angle
where you might actually want to play a useful master card every turn. Smile

And me. Spending a MPA to burn a card in your library is incredibly
lame. I'd rather play Ascendance.

of course friend, but i assume that your deck have the "master
section" already done, and if you have a "real master" and not a
unmasking-proxy-via-FL you can play it. but sometimes (and scarcelly
sometimes) you can use FL better than unmmasking as dead card in your
hand. Wink

Ok. That is not the *intention* of using Forschrit, for G'Quan's sake.
You have extra flexibility in finding the important cards you need and
then getting rid of the extra ones you don't need when you have 2xEvent
and 1xForschrit than you do with just 3xEvent. That you can do this is
just extra flexibility. It means more hand cycling potential.

No, wait, never mind. Clearly the main reason to use Forschrit and
2xUnmasking is that you want to play the first Unmasking the regular
way, and then just save up the Forschrit to waste an MPA to get a card
out of your deck. That is the whole plan. You are right. I'll just use
Ascendance instead.

oh, it doesn't hurt to play it then. But i was banking on hopefully a
decent deck design/shuffle/draw where you _do_ have some other master
card you want to play.

Not quite. If you draw into your Fortran *during* your turn, after
you've used your MPA, you can't play it. Whereas if it was an Unmasking
to start with instead, then you still can play it.

Me, I kinda find MPAs to be a bit more valuable than DPAs, but maybe
that's just me. Smile
