Archived from groups: alt>games>elder-scrolls (more info?)

I have a couple of mods with custom sounds in the form of wav files
that are put in the Data/Sounds/fx/npc folder. These are supposed to
appear in place of default sounds when placed in the appropriate
folders. One of the mods has some new npc sounds that do not appear
at all (just text dialogue).

Replacement sounds worked fine for me previously. I didn't notice
until recently that there was a problem, but I haven't played Oblivion
alot in a while. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with Shivering
Isles (custom sounds definitely worked before SI was installed).

I tried using File Date Changer but that didn't work. I looked on the
forums and saw a few similar reports, but no solution. Any other ideas?
Thanks

I still don't know why the new sounds stopped working but I was able
to fix it by editing an esp and redirecting the custom sounds to a
different folder.
