Haha, here's what happened on exactly move 2 of a new game
(my shortest game ever):

#### Phobos the Skirmisher
.. Centaur
... . HP: 16/16
.. .!# Magic: 1/1
## ##.. ..... AC: 5 (0)
.. ... ....# EV: 7
###.##.#.....# Str: 15
#.....>......# Int: 10
#...@........ Dex: 8
#..<..#.## # Gold: 28
###......... Experience: 1/0 (25)
#...#..... Level 1 of the Dungeon
###.# ... a) +0 hand axe
.# ..
## .

Xom's power touches on you for a moment.
You die...

[OT]
Besides this funny incident, I'm absolutely convinced about Xom being a
proper god for centaurs. Food problems after uncontrolled raging was
never a major problem so far (I'm not just talking about this game, of
course). I've even got a troglodyte centaur pretty far and only YASDed
because of boredom (my special technic of "corpse-diving" *is* boring
after a while, but is also able to feed a centaur's stomach and at the
same time making a corpse loving god like Trog extremely happy).

And last not least: if there's anything what Xom is *not* than it's
boring! Smile

That's awesome.

I wouldn't much around with Xom as a centaur tho. Razz I'd rather go with
Makhleb for his "heal from kills"/"lower your food consumption because
you're not resting so much" ability.

Good luck.

You're still playing with centaurs, maybe I should try another one as
well Smile A Centaur is still to clear Hells.
My fun moment with Xom is being sent to the Abyss at level 2.

Something similar happened to my next one. At first I was lucky and soon
found the portal, but wasn't able to shake off two 5-demons who followed
and finished me where I came from. Up to this point I even didn't know
that monsters are able to follow through the abyss portal, so at least
I've learned something new!

Usually I'm not a big fan of Xom. I can't say why, but this certain
combo is fun. Check it out...
