It's not as bad as that sounds. My game only does it with 1 neighbourhood
(which I have therefore never played!) and the hood in question is the
gender reversed Pleasantview from MATY. All the other hoods are fine.

People seem to be playing this hood successfully. Why not me? I have
downloaded the hood several times so it's not like I got a faulty download
the first time or something. I unzip it, I throw it into my Neighborhoods
folder, I successfully open it in neighborhood view. I take a look around -
all the families are where they should be. I try to open the sim bin..

CRASH! BANG! BOOM! Game over. Please insert another coin.

Is it just me, or have other people not played this hood long enough to try
to take a look in the sim bin and don't know their game will crash when they
do or is it just me? Does anyone out there have a version of it that they
know plays well and does not crash the game when you try to open the sim
bin?

Cheers!

Well. It's been a long time since I played it - but I don't remember any
such problem.

It is specifically the people bin and not the house bin?

So it must be people in the bin that are the problem. Oldies, Burbs +
anybody else added by later EP's. Try using the teleporter bush to move any
such unhoused Sims in with other Sims and see if you can open the bin then -
you may wish to do this with one Sim in a house you don't care about. You
can always use the teleporter bush to rescue that one Sim. But it's going to
be hard to rescue a house if the 'new' Sims make it crash too.

I know nothing about that neighborhood, but I take it that you got your
computer working again. Was it the RAM? Did my suggestion help?

I'll have to try the lots and houses bin, then. It kept crashing when
attempting to open the sim bin and I can't remember if I ever even tried to
open the lots and houses bin. I'll give that a go tomorrow morning. I'm off
to my sister's place for a girls' night in. I'll let you know about the
houses bin in the morning. Thanks for the help!

Engram

I'll also try teleporting people over to Don's house.

Cheers!
