In preparation for Hyjal, I've been working on getting enough honor for
the 2-minute PVP trinket. It used to be around 17k honor, but last night
I was browsing the vendor and noticed that it was only 8k! Anyone know
when it changed?

Changed with this minipatch that just came I believe, one of the
undocumented changes. Leaves me rather happy I hadn't bought it on my
warlock; I've been intending to get it "soon" but hadn't got around to it
yet... phew! The new version with 45 resilience on it is apparently now
available as well btw, but not at all cheap...

WHAT?! Damn! I just bought the 5 min one before the patch since I was
getting subbed into Hyjal, and needed it and only had 9k honor. And to
top it off, I didn't need to use it at all. >> Stay informed about: Cost reduction on pvp trinkets? |

Insignia of the Alliance/Horde, and Medallion of the Alliance/Horde.
It's a trinket that allows you to escape from stun, fear, polymorph, and
other similar effects. It is purchased via PVP honor points.
The Insignia has a five-minute cooldown, and the Medallion has a two-minute
cooldown as well as 20 resilience rating.
This trinket is mostly used in PVP, but can also be useful against PVE
bosses that have a fear or stun effect, such as the first and last bosses
in Hyjal.

Damn and blast! I want a refund. I bought it at 17k last week!

Doh, unlucky! They never gave any indication that the price would be
reduced, I was actually pondering getting it asap just in case it got
removed altogether, given that the new trinket shares its name... pretty
hard to predict :-/

The honor drop is nice for the 2minute trinket, it should be the first thing
you get at 70!
I actually got the brand new 40k honor version on wednesday as soon as I
logged on after the patch. Which is kinda nice, as I upgraded my old
veterans ring to angelista's revenge. Meaning I have more armor pen and
attack power as well as remaining on 406 resilience!

I took a long time to get the 2 minute trinket because it didn't seem
like it was worth it for 17k honour. After I got it I realized how
wrong I was. It was worth 17k and is a major bargain at 8k.

Now *that* doesn't seem worth it If you have honour to spare
though I suppose it is a lot of extra resilience. For a fairly new
level 70 there is plenty of other good stuff to buy first.

Yea, if you're a new level 70 I would recommend getting the 8k trinket
first. Then gearing up other things, then getting the 40k honor trinket when
there's nothing else.
My rogue has all the honor items she needs (even the battlestandard...) and
just had 60k honor or so to spend, so the trinket was an easy option. Now
trying to reach the honor cap before season 4 is announced
