Post subject: Controller Issue with Halo 2 for Vista
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>games (more info?)

Hi all,

I recently bought Halo 2 and started playing on it (it's great, by the way)
and I wanted to play with it using a controller. To that end I got a
connector allowing me to use my PS2 controller in Windows. I tested it with
several games and it worls great.
The thing is, when I want to look around in Halo the directions are not
inverted, they're turned sideways, meaning in order to look up and down when
using the right stick I have to pull it to the right and left, and vice versa.
Anyone has any idea why that is and how I could possibly change it into
operating normally? Again, Halo is the only game with this problem.
Then again, Halo is the only game I play on Vista (I also have XP installed)
so maybe there's some setting to change in Vista? (the controller works upon
plugging in, there's no need to install and I have no installation disk or
setup options directly involved with it).

Thanks in advance, and I look forward for your insights...
Gyl.
