The Ultimate Magus PrC combines wizard & sorcerer, but the 1st, 4th, &
7th levels only advance the lower class of the two. A Wizard4/Sorcerer1
can advance in this PrC And a 10th lvl Ultimate Magus(CL15) casts as
an 11th/11th caster!!
But with almost gesault-like spellpower I'd think he/she would be
wicked
as an opponent or ally.

What do you think?

I'm afraid she's not.

First I recommend the discussion of the Mystic Theurge at wizards.com.

The lack of spell power starts with 2 levels at character level 6, goes
up to 3 levels at character level 9 and achieves 4 levels at character
level 12. I use the term "spell power" as a synonym for the highest
level spells a single class character is able to cast.

So this is slightly better as the Mystic Theurge in low levels, but
worse in higher levels. The character has no access to the powerful
spells and still can only cast one spell per round. So, if you insist
on playing this one, consider Quicken Spell. You should also increase
your caster level for at least one of the two classes by a feat (or
two).

Wicked? No. But you can cast a lot of spells, given time. How many
rounds lasts a typical combat? Personally, I prefer the diversity of
the Mystic Theurge over the Ultimate Magus. I haven't yet lost a word
on the complex rules of the Ultimate Magus, haven't I? ...

No harm intended.

I think a 15th level straight Wizard would walk all over him.
