We now have this rule:

202.2b If an ability of an object grants to another object an ability
that refers to the first object by name, the name refers only to the
object whose ability grants that ability, not to any other object with
the same name.
Example: Saproling Burst has an ability that reads "Remove a fade
counter from Saproling Burst: Put a green Saproling creature token into
play. It has 'This creature's power and toughness are each equal to the
number of fade counters on Saproling Burst.'" The ability granted to
the token only looks at the Saproling Burst that created the token, not
at any other Saproling Burst in play.

Does this now cover those Kraj/Prodigal Sorceror issues? It doesn't
look like it to me, because the Sorceror isn't granting the ability to
the Kraj. Rather, Kraj is granting an ability to itself that's being
borrowed from the Sorcerer.

Any thoughts?

Ummm, never mind. Apparently we've always had that rule and I just
forgot about it. Oops.

Actually, that one's been around for Some Time Now. Still missing is the
mirror rule about abilities of an object that grant to -that- object an
ability stolen from another object that refers to the other object by name.

Nope - you're correct that that rule doesn't stretch to the Kraj case. Zoe's
noted to treat Kraj as though it made the name refer correctly, though, while
she lobbies for the mirror-image of the above rule to also get included.

Just to confirm, this is currently still the case. I've not heard
anything on the matter for a while now, so I'll likely raise it
again soon.
