The funny thing is the FAQ seems to be written for the 1st printing,
not the 2nd even though I strongly believe that the 2nd printing was
published post 4th ed.... Even worse, GW-US customer service didn't
even realize there was a second printing and didn't have a copy to
reference when I had some questions (of course I went in expecting
worthless answers)....

Iron Priests (actually all SW characters) only have the abilities
included in Codex: SW. The only things we use out of Codex: SM are
points and armaments for vehicles and the drop pod rules. Although one
nice little thing, our Ven Dread can still use a plasma cannon (now not
allowed for dreadS under C:SM).

The change to Stormcaller (now counts as if in cover, strike first if
charged, simultaneously if charging someone in cover, no ruling for
charging someone not in cover). The old rule allowed a unit to strike
first in close combat until the end of your opponents turn and that it
is what the FAQ addresses.

Blood claws are now expressly forbidden from rapid firing to avoid
making a charge move (unless led by an IC).

And last but not least, the Rune Staff now costs the same as a psychic
hood.

Great, thanks for the info. One last thing: Is the LRuss Exterminator still
legit to use?

Thanks

The Exterminator is still a valid choice and will be until the new
codex comes out. Rumor has it that it will be gone with the new codex.
No real worries though, Wolves are not super popular right now so the
codex is on the back burner, probably 2008, maybe 2009. At least
that's what the rumors say and with six codexes a year (6 per system a
year) it could be early 2009.

As far as the Exterminator, it's a fun tank with the heavy bolter hull
mounted. Great against swarms and it's a lot of shots and forced saves
against marines.... It's a little pricey but with AV14 it can draw
fire away from some of your other units.
