Codemned 2,answers my request

I played it a bit this morning and it is just as fun as the original
so far.

There are NO neon Vegas signs in RSV2. It's all set in warehouses and
offices in the industrial areas. You don't see the Strip at all.

I played 3 missions so far. Its pretty similar to the first game.Lots of
dark drab apts',to explore and there's more ammo to be found than the
first game. C-2 is definitely more involved with melee combos, Im still
trying to get the combos down . The game is good, but I'm just not as
excited this time around for some reason. I like the new improved
forensics tool kit , investigating scenes is more involved than the
previous game ,the answers are multiple choice such as blood splatter
patterns,arterial or exit ,etc.although there's still a bit of
handholding,with the multiple choice answers ,but its an improvement
over the first game,you'll feel like a CSI investigator. I just need to
get the melee system down better as the later missions the enemies can
take you down quite quickly without some good block timing.
I'd just prefer a ballistics weapon at all times if I had my choice,but
then again,Condemned was always first about melee. I loved the first
game,because there was a tension in hoarding ammo and saving it for
tougher enemies and relying mostly on melee for attacks and defense. In
part 2 that tension is a little less as there are more ammo caches lying
around, but this game will punish you if you just stick to ballistics as
you'll need some decent melee skills on the tougher enemies. Condemned 2
is an improvement over part1 in every way,but for some reason,I'm just
not that interested in the story, or the melee combat this time around.
Condemned sticks to it roots for part2, I'm just not sure why I don't
like as much as I'd hoped. Maybe its because the environments are so

Your partly right I should be more specific,it will still be in Vegas
but from the gameplay screens ,it still has allot of colorfull lighting
in the level designs is what I was referring to. Also your right about
in taking place in warehouses and offices . It also takes place in Las
Vegas Clubs and by the way and also judging from the gamescreen I'm
looking at right now in OXM's early exclusive look I see a disco ball
with neon lighting in the club (so there fancy pants mcgee,when have you
seen a vegas dance club drab?) Also it will take place in residential
areas of Vegas,back alleys,and specifically the Las Vegas Convention
center.It also takes place in the daytime as well as night-time wheras
part 1 was mostly at night .Also with the new improved code-drop from
EPIC's Unreal engine you can expect improved lighting,better
shadows,and smoother framerates .

Either way my favorite game is back and I'll be a happy SOB come release
day neon or no.
