Went to Matrix website to download patches for Close Combat Cross of
Iron - and there don't seem to be any. Is that right? No patches at
all?

Seems like that ought to be worthy of accolades (if the game is in
good shape and does not need any steenkin' patches) or brickbats (if
there are bugs that just aren't getting fixed, despite it being almost
a year since the game was released).

Umm, there also don't seem to be any scenarios available for download
for this game...

It was a re-release of CC3 - in it's final state, with some add-ons &
some spit&polish added so there's not much to "fix" from that pov.

If you already had CC3 this wasn't a game for you - if you had missed
the whole CC episode : here's your chance. That was basicaly the idea
behind it afaik.

That's correct, it did not have any serious issues that needed
patching, so we focused on providing additional content.

That is an unfortunate matter of timing. There are actually a LOT,
but the CSO site is having serious issues as of a couple of days ago
and we haven't completed transitioning the CC:COI extra scenarios/
campaigns/mods over from their server to ours. You caught us in
progress there and unfortunately it will take a few more days. In the
meantime, if you post in the forum and ask for some fellow gamers to e-
mail you those I'm sure they'll step up. The official scenario/
campaign/mod archive should be back up soon.

Regards,

- Erik

No idea - but given Mr. Rutin's post below I think you need to explore
the basic game first for the next couple of days while they get things
sorted out. Don't worry, there's *plenty* in the basic game to keep
you busy Smile

That would be me: this is my first CC game.

Thanks, Eddy. I don't see anything in there to explain what all this
stuff is - guess I need to go to the forums to look for that info?

Actually hoping for some scenarios that add US, UK or Commonwealth
forces - playing Germans against Russians or vice versa isn't much
excitement for me, might as well be Red Team vs. Blue Team or
something like that, for all I care about who wins or loses.

Any idea what the different "plugins" do? That's a different ftp
folder from the scenarios, containing a bunch of exe files.
