So the cast fails. But if there's enough magicka, in Oblivion, the cast
always goes off without a hitch. In Morrowind, that's not the case. If
you don't have high enough skill in Morrowind for some particular spell,
then it plays a different sound, the hands make a different wave pattern,
and nothing happens,... BUT the magicka for the spell STILL gets decreased.

Thanks for the info. I don't have Oblivion yet, and haven't seen it around
in the stores i get a chance to wander into. If it were available over the
net i'd download it though.
