Post subject: Clean install of Win98 Second edition, having problems insta
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>games>ageofkings (more info?)
I have a celeron 400, 128mb ram, 10 gig hd and a clean
install of Windows 98SE. I have updated with everything
that Microsoft offers. Including DirectX9. Upon putting
the cd in the drive. It locks down and comes up with the
following error:
AOESETUP caused an exception C0000006H in module
AOESETUP.EXE at 0167:00451fdl.

After that it gives a list of registers. This error comes
up everyime. Even if i try to install 98 on a diffrenet
computer. The cd works on my XP machine. I also have
Conquerors. It tries to intall but can't find the Kings
file. What could be the problem? Any help would be much
aprecated. Thanks
