You can't just walk around and correct anyone, you know. That's very

Working holiday.. I did the holiday in May/June and now I'm onto the
working part. Got a job as a web developer in a little company
about half an hour from London. Been working for less than a month, so
I'm still really getting settled still.
I'm liking England though. The people I've met have all been
exceptionally nice to me, particularly my flatmates. There's lots of
interesting stuff to do and see (still haven't had time to get to the
English legoland!). One of the highlights of my trip so far has been
going to a little one day tech conference in London where people like
the guy behind the internet archive were talking. This just isn't
something you could do back home!
I think the travelling's been good for me too. Heh! My standards of
beds, dinner and bathrooms have fallen considerably since I left home.
For a good six or eight weeks my big dreams were to get a new towel
and new socks. Just getting on a plane and managing to survive in
another country has been good for my confidence too. Public speaking
is kind of a lame sort of fear after walking around London one night
at about 1am after I missed the last train home, wracking my brain for
somewhere to sleep.
It's been a pretty exciting few months. I'm ready for a holiday from
excitement now though. Finding a sense of normality and *gasp* routine
seems quite attractive after so many months of upheaval. It's going
to be nice to actually catch up on my sleep eventually and maybe one
day my body will forgive me for all the junk I've eaten in the last
few months.
So that's my life at the moment
