| Aloha,
Is there a method to sell off items built in a city - courthouses,
universities, that sort of thing - and then raze it as there was in Civ 3
? Occasionally I will capture an enemy port, use it for a few cycles and
then find it necessary to abandon it. I'd like to leave a smoking
crater. -redvet

In Civ IV you can't sell off items in a city, and the only time you can raze
it is if you have just captured it from an enemy. When that happens, you are
asked if you want to keep it or raze it. The same is true of cities
culture-flipping to you.

There is a civ4 mod for razing cities but i don't think you get to sell
it off; probably too prone to exploit. It slowly decreases the
population rather than trashing it in 1 turn. I'd like it if it spawned
workers/settlers as it shrunk with nationality dependent on the cultural
influence/s.
Sometimes my scout will find a settler and the site looks promising but
then turns out to be disasterous and it would be nice to evacuate your
population before it is conquered by an enemy, squashed by barbarians or
eaten by a dragon! >> Stay informed about: Civ 4 Question... |
