Had the same problem and upped my RAM to a Gig from 256M and swapped out
a 32Mb video card for a 64Mb. Seems to work fine now although sections
of the map go blank occasionally with freaky vector-effects (looks like
you're looking into a gray funnel). That's my next problem to fix.

So from the sound of that it is a memory issue. I have 512M Ram and a
supposedly supported NVIDIA 64Mb Video card so I was hoping it was
something easy to fix.

Thanks for the feedback though, at least I now know I am not the only
one who has seen this.
