Post subject: Choppy and slow MAME on certain games
Archived from groups: alt>games>mame (more info?)

I've been using MAME for many many years now and lately I've noticed
that many games are choppy and the sound doubles. I hardly think it's
my machine because i have an AMD Athlon 2600+ with 1 GB RAM. I've tried
many different settings but could not fix the problem. I then tried
ADVMAME and with that, everything runs at full speed. The problem is
that it's not full screen and it's not the original MAME. Does anyone
have any suggestions as to what I could do to try and fix the problem?
Thanks.
