You'll know if you've followed the directions correctly. You have to "Use"
each of the ingredients on the correct bowl. They only work on the one
they're intended for. On Expert, the ingredients are: Honeydew, Eye of Slug,
Arachid Venom, Powdered Crayman’s Blood and Snake Venom (Snakeman’s Blood).
When you use the correct one on the right dish, a ball of light appears
above it with a smokey-sort of beam that heads toward the centre.
They are Ingredients required are different on each difficulty setting, I
believe.

I was using the r key to just drop them instead of right mouse click
"using". Thanks! I just finished pt. 2 with no problems. For an un-dead
based mission it was good. The floating platforms reminded of Half-Life.
