Character Name Change?

You're in luck! Note the following rule (the last on the page):

"Partial or Complete Sentences
This category includes names which:
• Consist of multiple (generally more than 2) words strung
together to create partial or complete sentences (i.e. Inyourface,
Welovebeef, Howareyou)


If a player is found to have such a name for their character or pet,
he/she may:
• Be prompted to select a new name for the character upon
next login"

Sounds like you qualify under that rule.

I think those rules only apply on RP realms... which annoyed me as I didn't
like the name on my first character (Onthejazz, was the name I was using in
another game before WoW, and just didn't look good here!), but at least it
made it easier for me to abandon it and reroll when I decided to change
server (transfers didn't exist then)

I contacted ig help and the promptly issued me a warning and made me
change the name!

The Rogue is Doctr and the Hunter is Legolamb (named after the "Legolas"
character in the spoof "Bored of the Rings"). Both are alliance, but I have
Horde characters on other servers (none over level 35 though).

No, these are general rules. RP-Server rules are here

However, Blizzard does not seem to take their naming policy very
seriously. I think they only act upon tickets from other players. I have
even encountered rather strange names upon RP-Servers.
Mindstorm is IMO allowed (at least on a normal Server). It's to general
a word to be banned because a Company has the same name.

I was meaning the naming rules don't apply on non-RP servers... I remember
they did originally but, at least in Europe, it was changed so they didn't
(I distinctly remember there being a big fuss about that sometime in
mid-2005, I know it was while my badly-named character was still active
anyway as I was disappointed to find I couldn't try and get a rename). And
it shows, there's loads of names that would be against those rules but even
reporting does nothing unless they're actually offensive.

Actually I have not liked the name of the first toon I rolled -- Blj,
which are my initials. Once I got the hang of the game, I realized it
was not a good fit, but I had too much invested in him to drop him
completely. I finally made him an enchanting banker when he hit level
47 and had enchanting skill of 300.

Now I see that one of the naming rules prohibits names that cannot be
pronounced, and they specifically demonstrate with names with no vowels.
Looks like maybe I could petition for a name change for this one too.
