I got a centipede mini yesterday with a dead monitor. Swapped in a
freshly capped GO7 and am having the following problem.

Game boots and plays fine, but the vertical hold on the monitor won't
stay put. The best I can do is a slowly rolling picture. I searched
here and found the info about using pin 12 as a composite sync signal.
I tried that and am still having the problem. Does anybody have any
suggestions? I've tried fiddling with the B+ voltage and all the other
controls on the monitor. Has anybody else had this problem? Could it
be a bad pot on the vertical hold?

thanks
Matt Hoy

I've seen some problems from a low +5 volts on the gameboard.

Shouldn't you tie the composite sync onto 2 pins on the g07 board?
Should be j1& j2.

After doing some more reading I think I've got it figured out.

Go7 has 2 input connectors: a six pin and a 3 pin. the 6 pin has RGB,
ground, and H+ and V+ sync. 3 pin connector has H- v- and ground pins.
I've been trying to use the H+ and V+ sync pins, when centpiece is a
NEGATIVE sync game. I'm going to try to use the composite sync off pin
12 of the game edge connector and tie it to both the H - and the V -
pins. Does that sound like it will work?

For the archive. This is what fixed the problem. connect pin 12 of
the lower edge connector to the H- and V- snyc connectors.
