Archived from groups: alt>games>video>nintendo>animal-crossing (more info?)

Boy, this group is dead, dead, dead. Why not try to liven it up a bit?!
Here's my try...

As some of you know, Nintendo has been sending out gifts to people who
WiFi on certain days...Mainly holidays. For Valentine's, we got a
Lovely Loveseat (ugghh) and for President's Day, we got a Top Hat.

I can almost guarantee you that we will get a gift when we WiFi on St.
Patrick's Day.

But the question is: Where to go? Actually, you don't need to *go*
anywhere. Just open your gates at a WiFi spot and you'll get the gift
in a letter from Nintendo. They will probably add a message to you
bulletin board as well.

Instead of this, why not come to my village?

These are my friend codes...

2964-1378-1346
Name: Thom
Town: Foresta

My email address for this is thomforesta RemoveThis @yahoo.com ....Drop me a note
if you have questions.

Why don't you come and visit? I have ten pieces of Snowman furniture,
something like 30 excess gyroids, and a few rare and odd furniture
pieces that I would be happy to give away. If you would like a
particular fossil or three, I can probably help you out there.
Hopefully I will remember to order all the paintings I can and all the
Redd items that I can remember. I'll try to make it worth your while,
trust me.

If you would like to bring a present or two (or ten), please only bring
fruit. I don't need bells, I don't need any items. (I'm playing a
legit, non-Time-Travelling game, so I am suspicious of any items from
people I don't know.) Oranges are my native fruit, so I would rather
you skip those. If you need any foreign fruit, I should have several
trees with all varieties ready to harvest.

Because this is an international board, I'm not sure when I should open
my gates. I'm thinking around noon--12 PM--Eastern Standard Time (EST).
That's New York Time, in case you're confused. It should accomodate
Eurolanders and UKites. If I get more than a couple responses, I might
try again around 5 PM EST.

Anyway, I highly recommend you visit me--but only on this day, the
17th. I've both visited and hosted twice before, and I'm okay with
letting in as many folks as can come over. If you try to pillage my
village, I'll just zap off so fast you won't be able to imagine it. My
town is completely G-rated...It's almost boring, in fact. It's on
real-time, and I've been playing since release date. I would prefer
minors not come over (despite all that), but it's not like I can stop
you. "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog."

This may seem like short notice, but I tried to post this yesterday and
it never showed.

If you intend to come, send your RSVPs in the form of friend codes and
name/town info. Post them here, or use my email address--again,
thomforesta RemoveThis @yahoo.com ...Also, indicate times based on EST when it
would be most convenient for you to visit. I can't assure you I can
make all of them--and again, I will almost certainly be open at noon
and 5 PM EST--but I can make an attempt at others if you email me.

Hoping to see you soon...

Okay, 5:30 UK time is 12:30 EST. (Right?) I can do that very easily.
And it will be done.

Your cods are entered.

PLEASE COME AND TAKE MY JUNK AWAY.

Besides, after this I can now say that I had a British visitor. (You
might not know this, but there are points for internationals...The more
you can get, the better.)

I'll be back on at 11 AM EST to see if you're just the only one. If you
are, have at it. It will all be there. Period. Have 10 Snowman items. I
don't care. Hell, I'm sounding like Lyle. Want some fossils? Need to
let me know now, since they are in a different closet.

Sorry, we won't be having green beer. (American tradition.)
