Something odd since a patch a few weeks ago, I think.

It used to be that when I was mounted, I could look other directions,
using
the mouse to drag the direction of my character's view all over the place;
a tap on the left or right arrow keys would return the view center to
straight ahead.

This no longer happens. In fact, it dosen't happen mounted or not; and
sometimes
I will find my view angle drifting. If something resists warrior Charge, or
I get in a confusing
fight, perhaps disoriented or incapacitated, I will find myself moving at
odd angles
to my direction of view, and will be at pains to get my character's head
screwed on straight.

Anyone else have this problem?

Also, just minutes ago, Gates were opened on Gilneas. Grats Thaumaturge,
according to the emotes.

Yep, common bug introduced with the 1.9 series. The camera settings in
Interface Options get set to "Never" on most occasions when you change
anything else at all in those options (e.g. unlocking/relocking the chat
windows). You have to reset them to "Smart". Somehow Blizzard broke it
and can't fix it with their minor patches... maybe they aren't even
trying. Pretty sad. But the workaround is simple once you learn it.

I got this "bug" too and yeah it was really annoying at first. Getting
fear/blinded totally turns you around and when you charge, you do a 180
if the monster was already moving toward you. I couldn't figure out how
to fix it for awhile so I got used to it, I find it really helpful in a
lot of situations and have learned to run around with the camera facing
me.

Never did like the camera snapping to the front when I was mounted and
trying to look around.

I had this as well. For some reason, it doesn't happen all the time.
The fix, clearly, is to check that it hasn't reset, just before
confirming the changes (which, in may case are normally the unchecking
and then rechecking of the "lock action bars" button).

The other thing I noticed is that the camera behaviour is now "follow
- never" when mounted and set to follow another player, irrespective
of the interface setting.

Cheers - Ian

This happened to me a few weeks ago. And resetting the camera option to
"smart" did NOT fix it (although it's true that it had managed to switch
itself to "never"). It was driving me UP THE WALL! However, then I had a hard
disk failure which resulted in me having to reformat and reinstall
everything. And now the camera works fine....

Bit of a drastic solution, I'll grant you, and not one I would have CHOSEN -
but it did work!
