Call the Wild Hunt, at inferior, says this:

[ani][pro] For the remainder of combat, this vampire is immune to frenzy
cards. A vampire may play only one Call the Wild Hunt each combat.

If my opponent plays Drawing Out the Beast, can I play Call the Wild
Hunt in response, to be immune to the DotB effects?

If my opponent plays Rotschreck, can I play Call the Wild Hunt in
response, to be immune to the Rotschreck effects?

I would imagine it would be rather hard to play rotschreck
pre-range....

I did a search for any cards that inflict damage before range is
determined and couldn't come up with anything other than Weather
Control. As we all know, WC can become aggravated under the effects of
Dawn Operation, but I'm quite sure that it counts as environmental
damage and thus does not meet the "when an opposing minion attempts to
inflict" text of Rotschreck.

But in response to Josh's original question, I think the the answer is
"NO" for Rotschreck (if such a thing were possible) because the effect
resolves before the oppurtunity to play another card arises, and "YES"
for DotB/similar because it sets up a lingering effect that the playing
vampire can become immune to.
