I just got this yesterday & played it to & through the level where you start
out walking through a pipeline, early in the game I assume. When I completed
that level it took me back to basic training, thus starting the game from
the beginning. When I restarted the game & went to load a mission instead
of resuming it said the mission where you have to repair the phone line
wasn't started when in fact I had completed it earlier. Is this normal or
possibly a faulty disc? Would an update from Live fix it? Thanks.

It's a known bug, I believe there is a live update for it though. It's
specifically mentioned on Activisions website, they even provided the cheat
code to skip levels in case a person got burnt far into the game. It
happened to me just before the last level so I ended up losing all my
achievements on Xbox live. Sad

Thanks, I'll try the Live update before returning it.
