Maybe this is more a problem with Activision than the PS3 per se. That's two
high-profile Activision titles (Tony Hawk 8 is the other) that have better
framerates and better multiplayer on the 360. Well, the multiplayer is at
least partly the PS3's fault, for having no real multiplayer framework to
speak of.

Still... there wasn't a single game on the PS2 that looked better than its
simultaneous multiplatform counterpart on the newer, better Xbox. And now
there are already two 360 games that look better than the versions on the
newer, better PS3. This doesn't bode well for Sony if they're trying to pimp
the PS3 on the basis of its superior graphics.

And lets not forget, the games were probably developed on 360 then
ported to PS3. Recall how lackluster PS2 ported games on XB were.

It's to be expected, programming for the cell processor is more complex
I would assume. It'll take a while like any console for them to get the
hang of using it well.

As for having ranked games I wouldn't get that excited as there are many
people experiencing difficulties playing ranked games currently. Lots of
player games out there not so many ranked games OR you end up waiting a
long time for enough people to play a ranked game which is irritating.
