What does the CR31 adapter do? I am looking for one for a WG4700 as
my CR23 doesn't fit.

Thanks

The CR-31 fits small neck WG K7000's (19 inch).

Have you tried B&K? I seem to remember buying a few parts and an
adapter directly from them a couple years ago. Not cheap, but not
stupid either if I recall.

I've also made a generic pigtail adapter - molex connector on one end
to loose pins with a little shrink tubing on the other - seems to be
what I usually end up using if it is not a #23 I need...

I think the only adaptor BK has anymore is the universal adaptor. It is
not real cheap but works well as long as the CRT has pins to attach the
clips to. The G08 tube has a plastic cap on the end of the tube that
prevents you from attaching the little clips. I tried to remove it but
it was STUCK. I ended up removing the CRT socket from the neck board
and used the adapter that way. It did fix my shorted tube.
