CFS3 Configuration override file out of date

Hi all,

I'm trying to install CFS3 for the first time on my system:

AMD 3000+, 1024Mb RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 xt
Soundblaster Live

After installing the game i try to run the game for the first time i
get the error:
The Configuration override file is out of date. etc..

So i googled around and found the KB from MS. Tried everything that's
in there but nothing worked.

When i start the CFS3Config utility it says:

CFS3Config could not determine your hardware's configuration. Try
reinstalling CFS 3 or updating your video card drivers.

But my drivers are already up to date. I also installed the CFS 3.1
update but still nothing.

How can i get this game to work?
