Running Vertical games on a horizontal setup - Hi All, I am about to start my project, and it is set up as a horiz game. Can I play the vertical games on the monitor with out them being sideways, or rotating the monitor manually? I thought it would just show up as a smaller picture, with black on the

I'm trying to extract the sound effects from Bubble Bobble.
I don't suppose anyone knows of a way of getting it to play without the
music, but with the sound effects still active?
If there's no way to do this with the current version of MAME, I seem to
recall that the emulation in an earlier version had sound effects but no
music, can anyone confirm this? And if so, does anyone know what version of
MAME I should try?

Launch the game, hit the tilde key (~), then press the up or down arrows
until you see "mono:YM3526". Then just press the left arrow to reduce
the volume of this component to 0. That should give you sound effects
without music.
