Okay, so the first episode today was going so well. Ash, Misty, May,
and Max were about to set out on a new journey, starting near Cerulean
City. All of a sudden, Brock came by and ask "Forgetting someone? Now,
what's a journey without ME?" I so wanted to hit him.
Seriously, they should dump the guy. His running gag of falling for
every cute girl that he meets, only to be pulled away by Misty or May,
had long ago stopped being funny.

Maybe. I don't remember. Max is so short, though, that he pulling Brock
away would look pathetic.

I thought in the Hoen(sp?) region adventures, he was pulled away by Max, not
May.

probably want to balance the girl/boy ratio in favor of the boys.
