Wow, I'm still buzzing. Bulgaria 1-5 Scotland in the Kirin Cup. Scotland
could actually win a trophy Smile

Boyd scored 2 on his Scotland debut, as did Chris Burke. McFadden got the
other goal.

Considering the players that weren't available for Scotland, the fringe
players have now staked their claim to be in the squad more often.

Bulgaria will say they were missing players, but so were we. Bulgaria were
just poor.

Well I'm off to celebrate a good Scotland win, don't get to do that too
often Wink

with that many missing players I wonder how we beat Japan in the 1st match
:-]

DC Elin Topuzakov
AML Martin Petrov
sub Hristo Yanev

rest were all debutants and rarely used

Same with us, the only ones I'd call first teamers are:

Weir DC
Naysmith DL/WB
Fletcher MC
McCulloch ML (though how he keeps getting picked I don't know)
McFadden FC

The rest were all fringe players and debutants.

Interesting bit of tidbit.

But a poser - do the winners of the Kirin Cup in the presentation ceremony douse
each other in Kirin beer or a bottle of cheap champers.

3 clear goals. If they score 3 we are also losing 3.
