sole gamer at all--can't stand the things. But, my young
nephew is, and he loves OFP when he comes over to my house.
I'm going to get him OFP on XBox, and I notice on amazon.com that there's
OFP CWC for XBox....and there's OFP Elite.
There are two games out for XBox?
Which one is better? Which one should I get him for Christmas?
Thanks,
C. >> Stay informed about: X-Box OFP |

Oh, I should add that the players in your multiplayer game's lobby can
participate in the creation of a mission by play-testing it as you make
adjustments. They aren't disconnected from the server, but by voice comm
can talk with the mission designer, providing ideas and feedback, as he
makes adjustments to the mission.

Whatever. STFU n00b.
If your opinions were educated by the playing of OFP:E and not SMBS, they
would matter.

Garbage in Garbage out, a X2VGA X-Box to VGA Adapter won't magically make
the graphics HDTV quality.

Not if the game doesn't support HDTV(and I didn't mean to imply that), but
it will if it does! HDTV res is a lot lower than what a VGA monitor is
capable of.
I've got the thing. The image is perfect, as if I was playing the game on
my PC. Max-res OFP:E. No flaws.

I'm not sure how usable this feature actually is. Useful for mission
creation in some circumstances (remember us waiting for someone else to
amend the file?) and for "training" people on the system but waiting for the
mission editor to finish isn't any different, everyone has to download the
file again and the most important element of suprise in the design may be
changed.

Here's hoping we get the same features in OFP:AA that we currently do in
OFP:E.
Don't confuse HDTV resolutions with the VGA adapter. Most (read: almost all)
VGA monitors aren't capable of displaying 480i or 1080i.
If it's anything like standard OFP on the PC, it won't run well with default
config settings at HDTV-like resolutions. You'll need to adjust the
viewangle to prevent the view from appearing fat and flat.
