If and when high-end combat becomes prevalent. Augustus's special,
potentially, could become very useful as a permanent Possession.
Perhaps in a diablerie deck or a unblockable fortitude deck. I know
this sounds crazy, but I've never made a deck to include him. But if
I was, I would Probably go AUS/DOM/POT with a splash of necromancy
stealth.

Maybe something like Uncle Auggie's Trainwreck.

I think I read somewhere that they will be sold like "starters", this
means 6 in each "starter"-box.

How about none?

Rarity never prevents broken decks. If many Ezmereldas would create a
broken deck, someone would have collected enough them so they could play
tournaments with broken decks. Me, for instance.

Yep. I definitely belong in this category as well. Plus, White Wolf
really did find a real hole in my collection. I don't have large
numbers of CE vampires and I'd like to have more. Granted, the idea
of BSC doesn't seem like a hot seller at first blush but it may well
surprise everyone. I think WW actually did their homework on this.

My only complaint about it is the idea of selling _only_ precon boxes
of this one set of vampires. It makes it a bit hard to buy whole
boxes of stuff like a lot of us like to.

Yes, this is my understanding and that's exactly my point. Six of the
same precon in a single box is a bit awkward to deal with when buying
stuff in bulk. It would have better if they could have included them
in some 'larger' product or something. But that's just a nit; it won't
stop me from getting them.

Because after the first print-run, every new printing costs WW **much
less** and therefore generates more per-card profit. WW decided there was
a demand for this product, and they are making their player base happy,
but if they don't or can't make a profit, they will cease to exist.

Why do you think they printed Sabbat War three times? and Bloodlines
twice? and Final Nights twice? and (probably other sets I'm forgetting)
twice? More profit and player happiness, each of which lead to more
demand. Which lead to more profit and more player happiness, which lead
to...

It's reasonably logical, but it's not the only thing to bear in mind.

WW have previously indicated that they want to sell products more
regularly than most players - casual strawpolls have indicated
expansions yearly would be quite a good time-span for a lot of players.
White Wolf want to release more frequently to keep the product visible,
but also don't want to gouge players.

If there are, say, 10 new cards in a 110 card set, are the players with
a lot of CE going to be happy spending such a lot of money for so few
new cards, especially if it's only a few of them that are really any
good? Not everything new in Tenth Anniversary was widely wanted!

Perhaps spending 60 dollars plus tax for maybe 18 good new cards (6
tins, 3 each)? Yeah, that's probably going to annoy them, which is
pretty much the reverse of what's wanted!

At least two boxes for me too. And I haven't heard a single person to
be really disappointed about these reprints. Some CE vampires are
really hard to acquire.
