With all the non basics running around, has anyone thought about
running a deck with blood moon main deck then blowing up the basics?

Red has:
Blood Moon
Stone rain
The shaman guy (stoneshaker shaman??)
and a few more... not to mention thoughts of ruin...

something called sea stompy cropped up at the PT too...

Black has:
hmmm the usual 4 cc LD
and Helldozer

What is 'sea stompy'? I am guessing something with Boiling Seas &
Stone Rain maindeck?

It seems like Ponza should be good, but there is just too much either
land accel or fast beatdown to make it viable, I think.

but the land acc is rather slow, I ran the following deck against zoo
and it was alright

// Lands
5 Swamp
12 Mountain
2 Plains
1 Island

// Creatures
1 Seizan, Perverter of Truth
1 Stoneshaker Shaman
4 Torpid Moloch
1 Adamaro, First to Desire

// Spells
4 Volcanic Hammer
3 Boros Signet
3 Blood Moon
1 Stone Rain
4 Pyroclasm
2 Befoul
3 Thoughts of Ruin
1 Golgari Signet
1 Presence of the Wise
1 Icy Manipulator
2 Spectral Searchlight
4 Ghostly Prison
1 Dimir Signet
2 Stream of Consciousness
1 Life from the Loam

// Sideboard
SB: 1 Tin Street Hooligan
SB: 2 Demolish

I had originally wanted to make this some kind of Rakdos inspired deck
;p

Helldozer excites me... but he was too expensive in the end.

Thoughts of ruin plus ghostly prison is rather sick

How good the icy manipulater is depends alot on when you can tap their
creature to nullify the attack (i.e. the timing with the payment of the
cost with ghostly prison in play.. I'm a little unclear about that ;p)

Sea Stompy was a U/R deck i think (if memory serves), it did'nt make
top 32 or 16 I think.... the basic idea was interesting though.
Thoughts of Ruins, but with the signets in play. With counterspells and
creature to beat down (hence the stompy part... not sure abou tthe sea
part though ;p)

Oh the stoneshaker shaman is very powerful if he stays in play, the
trick is that he must come out before your opponent's "sweet spot", for
example, if your opponent's spells are mostly 3cc, if the stone shaker
come online at turn 2 for example (before your opponent gets his third
land). the stoneshaker can lock up the game pretty fast.

The latest update of my deck... now using the Ivory crane netsuke

and i have christened the deck Ivory Ruin

// Lands
2 Swamp
13 Mountain
5 Plains

// Creatures
1 Seizan, Perverter of Truth
1 Stoneshaker Shaman
4 Torpid Moloch
2 Adamaro, First to Desire

// Spells
3 Boros Signet
3 Blood Moon
1 Stone Rain
4 Pyroclasm
4 Thoughts of Ruin
1 Icy Manipulator
1 Spectral Searchlight
4 Ghostly Prison
1 Dimir Signet
2 Stream of Consciousness
1 Honden of Cleansing Fire
4 Lightning Helix
3 Ivory Crane Netsuke

It is a very slow deck but once the LD starts, its amost a full lock

Kami of Ancient law might be a problem...

might be a big problem =)

Still the deck is made to burn through weenie, to really incapacitate
the deck you need to take out both the crane and the prisons (Zoo might
be able to pull it off for sure, but it will be at a real cost to the
pressure they can apply) That said, I think I need a faster way to
kill. Currently it locks down, till Adamaro or Seizan shows up.
Seizans' a hoot =)
