Is this a bug?
I had completed the Thieves Guild quest for the 'Arrow of
somethingorother' by retrieving the arrowhead for the Grey Fox, and the
quest was marked as completed in my journal - but I had yet to be given
another quest.
Meanwhile, I decided to do a little 'freelancing', but unfortunately
fell foul of the Bravil city guard. I fled into Skrivva's house and
paid to have my fines & bounty cleared - and then two guards appeared
inside the house and attacked. After dispatching these two, a message
appeared saying I owed blood money for killing during the 'Arrow'
quest.
Speaking to Skrivva or any relevant member of the guild shows the topic
'Blood Money', yet when I select the option to pay the 2,000 I'm
supposed to owe there is no way to pay it. |

| At aguess the verbal dialogues you have with chars sometimes have a slider
thing indicating more verbal options and you dont see then unless you slide
the bar up and down...just a guess.

I haven't gotten that far yet, but maybe it's one of those quests which
requires the Fox to do something with the arrowhead before it's truly
complete?
Like the corrupt guardsman quest, maybe, which does not finish when you
get evidence against A. and convince folks to testify, but until after he
is arrested (and also *spoiler*).

Is there only one person you can pay blood money too? Maybe the rest
are letting you check your amount but there is someone particular you

Don't you have a save BEFORE the guards caught you? Quick save is your
friend. I always quick save before I start on a house or shop. If the
job goes WAY South or a bug like this shows up I can reload from the

Well, it's showing as complete in the journal, so I can only assume I've
done all that was asked.
I don't think the quest is the problem, it seems like one part of the
game thinks I owe money and another part doesn't. The topic 'Blood
Money' appears and, if selected, a message appears saying I owe 2000 in
Blood Money - but there's nowhere to go from there. No way to pay it,
no more to talk about - yet it's preventing any further involvement in
the guild.

I only know of two who I can contact - you cannot contact the Grey Fox
unless he wants to talk to you first. With both of the available
contacts I am asked "Are you here to pay your blood money?", and then,
after being told I owe 2000, nothing.

When you talk to Armand, does the 'Fines' topic not give you any option

Yes. And then, unfortunately, a quick save after I'd killed them.
I didn't realise straightaway that there was a problem, and I've since
overwritten my other saves.
