You fly with Brann anyway. Once he gets off, he says "I would appreciate if
you introduced me to this king" or some such. I missed that on my first try,
too. You have to follow him, the two brothers then recognice eacht other,
have a nice family get together with Magni who also happens to be there and
then your quest completes and you can hand it in to Muradin's second in
command.

Cheers

There was one quest I did called "Destroy the Sapling" where you have
to burn a tree - but the quest log doesn't say where. You receive
"Vordrassil's Ashes" for the quest . . . so I was looking all over
Vordrassil's Heart, Limb and Tears. The tree is actually in
Grizzlemaw.

These things I can understand, because from a proofreader's point of
view, the quest text may technically be correct. But I was doing a
quest the other day and noticed a missing apostrophe in "youll". There
is also a quest in Icecrown where the NPC says, ""I knew that you
would return, despite my warnings, but I'm please that you heading my
desire to not risk anyone else." Please? You heading?

Proofreaders aren't perfect, but that that sentence wasn't caught
seems a little odd.

I for some reason don't remember having a problem finding Vordrassil's
sapling. For some reason I just knew it was inside the tree. If you
play alliance, perhaps there is a difference between the horde and
alliance quest text that makes it more obvious for the horde.

No, I'm Horde. This is the quest text:

"Windseer Grayhorn in Conquest Hold wants you to take the Verdant
Torch and use it to burn Vordrassil's Sapling. Bring Vordrassil's
Ashes back to Windseer Grayhorn.

The furbolgs' work must be undone, <name>. The best of intentions do
not count for much when the result is tainted by such strong a
corruption.

The sapling must be destroyed, for it is the source of this dark
influence. Take this torch and use it to set fire to the corrupted
sapling and bring me its ashes.

Once cleansed, by fire, I will use what power I can to remove the
taint from them. You will need the ashes to purify Ursoc from the evil
power that holds sway over him."

Nowhere does it say anything about Grizzlemaw. Further, since previous
quests of hers sent me to Vordrassil's Fall, Heart and Tears, and the
quest item is called "Vordrassil's Ashes", I got a little confused.

However, the quest she gives you at the same time as "Destroy the
Sapling", "Vordrassil's Seeds", does mention travelling to Grizzlemaw,
so perhaps you were supposed to make the inference that the sapling
was also there. Me, I'm not that bright. Smile

You're right, it doesn't say where to go.

Somehow though I didn't have any trouble finding it. Perhaps while
exploring the zone I moused-over the sapling and so already knew it
was there. That would have been about a month ago though, so I really
don't remember if that happened or not.

It certainly does tell you who to go to, and that's good because it's a
lore-important storyline. A certain character you thought was dead turns
out not to be. Great quests. *

It does, but not in the quest text. It's one of the things Brann sais,
namely to introduce him to the local king. When we dismounted from the
plane, I didn't pay attention and missed that line. Only when I wondered why
the quest wasn't yet complete, did I scroll back through the chat and found
that line. Of course, by then it was too late and I had to redo the quest.

I agree with you that it is a great quest but I can understand that some
people miss the direction on what to do after the fight on the plane flight.

Cheers

Found a doozy last night.

I was flying to get to a quest in the Storm Peaks when I suddenly
noticed a green exclamation mark on my mini-map. Flew down and
discovered Bouldercrag's Refuge.

Delayed going to my original quest, and started questing at the
Refuge, including a quest called "Relief for the Fallen".

Copied from Wowhead:

"Use the Telluric Poultice to heal 6 Fallen Earthen Defenders, then
return to Bouldercrag the Rockshaper at Bouldercrag's Refuge

Fallen Earthen Defenders healed (Cool"

Must be the new math. Smile

If I remember right, he doesn't wait for you to go over there either - he
heads right for the king when you get off the plane.

Well, it's not like you could forget where you were supposed to go, since
you don't get the quest completion until you land in the right place, and
the NPC starts talking up a storm. How much more handholding really needs
to be provided in the quest text? *

My problem was that I was not paying enough attention when I got dismounted
from the plane, mounted up and looked at the minimap to check for the golden
? to hand in the quest. When I didn't see it, I assumed that I had
misremembered the position of the king, so I started flying around the area
to look for him. Only after that failed I realised I had not completed the
quest and had to start it a second time.

> How much more handholding really needs to be provided in the quest text?

Hey, I wasn't complaining. I was just saying that this was a quest where it
was easy to miss where to go if you didn't pay attention.

Cheers
